Learn About LightWorker™ Knights of the Divine Mercy :
The paintings of the Divine Mercy originated from a vision that St. Faustina had on February 22, 1931 She said our Lord clothed in a white garment with his right hand raised in blessing. His left hand was touching His garment in the area of the Heart. From the Heart came forth two large rays, one red and the other pale.
Jesus I trust in You!
These two rays signify the Sacraments of Mercy: Baptism, Penance and the Eucharist.
The Pale ray stands for the Water which makes souls righteous. The Water symbolizes the sacraments of Baptism and Penance (reconciliation), because the soul is cleansed of sin (I Corinthians 6:11).
The Red ray stands for the Blood which is the Life of souls. The blood depicts the Eucharist as the “life source” of the soul.” (John 6:53)
“But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.” (I Corinthians 6:11) These Rays shield souls from the wrath of God.
“Happy is the one who will dwell in their shelter for the just hand of God shall not hold of Him.
