A discourse of angels

£2.99

Learn about A discourse of angels :

When Moses was keeping the Sheep of Fetbro his Father in Law, in the Desart, near unto Mount Horeb, God being about to send him to deliver the children of Israel out of Egypt, where they were at that time grievously oppressed j He to prepare him for this Undertaking, first entertained him with a strange and wonderful Sight. A Bush all in a Flame burning, but not consumed. This Moses with Admiration observed, and for his fuller Satisfaction, was about to have come nearer to it, to discover (if possible) the reason why the Bush, tho’ on fire, was not burnt. But no reason in Nature could be assigned, for it was indeed a Miracle. The intent of the Prodigy was, to represent to Moses, the present State of God’s People, the Children of Israel of Egypt, now under grievous Servitude, and in the hands of a cruel Prince, that designed their ruine, yet marvelously preserved, as was that Buth he saw.
